Many accountancy firms employ a mix of accountants and those who just specialise in certain aspects, such as bookkeeping or payroll.
We only employ ACCA and AAT trained accountants, so all of our Client Managers and Advisors have the knowledge and skills required to guide you on all financial aspects.
Out on the frontline with our clients, Miguel helps business owners grow their profits, save time and keep more of their hard-earned money. He offers his expertise to ease the headaches caused by everyday challenges and has a passion for inspiring business owners to look at their businesses with a different perspective to see what opportunities can be uncovered. The glass is always half full with Miguel.
Miguel's accounting top tip:
“Keep your financial information up to date so that you can rely on it to make informed management decisions. Also, when preparing forecasts, always work on 13 months not 12, as it gets you thinking about the next year.”
Emma has a real passion for learning about our clients’ businesses and supporting them during their early stages of set-up and growth. Her ability to step back and see the overall picture, and keep an eye on the detail at the same time, makes her the ideal person to work with clients through the day-to-day challenges of running a business, whilst always looking out for tax saving opportunities.
Emma’s take on a common mistake made by business owners:
“I often see business owners using their company bank account as their own, rather than taking a salary or dividend and living from that. The company is a separate entity and should be treated as such, so it can come as a surprise when they have to pay the money back and/or pay tax on the loan.”
Nancy is a baton twirler extraordinaire and ‘honorary auntie’ to approximately 150 children! But, whilst at work, she is also an extremely dedicated and experienced Client Manager. Having worked as an accountant for many years, Nancy’s brain is jam packed with useful nuggets of information which she calls upon to help our clients.
Why Nancy chose accounting:
"I’m a self-proclaimed and proud numbers geek. I’ve always loved maths, so accounting seemed like a logical career choice."
Dan develops relationships with potential new clients and prospects. He works with our clients to understand their business structure, ethic, future goals, financial position and ultimately show them how Blue Rocket can help and support them. When Dan isn't liaising with clients you can hear him singing (badly!) along to the radio in the office.

Lucy has a passion for horses. She has always owned her own, and regularly rides! When she's at work she's organised and always ensures that she gets her tasks done.

Sophie is currently studying for her final exams to gain the AAT qualification. Her endless enthusiasm for accounting comes from her love of problem solving and learning new things. If you love fast cars, Sophie is the one to talk to!

For many years, Julie was at the helm of Blue Rocket. A legendary leader with a genuine love for supporting company owners through the challenges that being in business can bring. Now, part of the Jupiter team, Julie continues to support Blue Rocket clients with her dedicated approach.

Looking after Jupiter clients, Alex is currently studying the AAT qualification whilst working hard to deliver timely processed accounts for Blue Rocket Accounting clients. Alex enjoys the fact that there's always something new to learn when it comes to both accounting and client experience. She believes that organisation is key to smooth bookkeeping and account management.

Make notes. Write everything down, even if you don't think its important.
Learning about new businesses and what their owners’ aspirations are is what motivates Li. Using her accounting know-how, Li works closely with clients to solve problems and ensure they are as tax efficient as possible, so business owners are able to enjoy more of their heard-earned profits.
Li's take on a common mistake made by business owners:
“Using software that they don’t ‘get’. If you can’t quickly get to grips with the software you’re using, it’s better and more time efficient to task someone else with your bookkeeping, or look for alternative software that you find easier to use.”
Toni is always on hand to support Blue Rocket clients and is the first port of call for many enquiries. Supporting team Jupiter, she helps with a range of clients across a diverse array of sectors.
From Mars to Saturn, Tanya is on hand to support clients and look after their accounts. She is currently studying the AAT qualification and is Xero advisor certified, and holds a QuickBooks online certification too.
What's been your favourite day working at Blue Rocket?
There’s always something interesting going on in this office, hearing people’s crazy stories and having debates about whether pineapple goes on pizza.
Liza joins the Blue Rocket team as a ACCA qualified advisor with a background in general practice and financial services. In her spare time, Liza enjoys going to gigs, festivals and the theatre to see live comedians. She once met Eddie Izzard in his home town of Bexhill-on-Sea.

Don't leave your tax return too close to the 31st January deadline. The sooner in the year we can prepare them, the more time you have to pay the tax due!
Ciaran is a dedicated Accounts Assistant, supporting Mars clients with bookkeeping alongside Nancy and the team. Finance qualified and working towards his AAT, he brings valuable experience from Pro Futures, Hubshare, McDonald's, and Greenwich Council.
A sharp problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, Ciaran thrives in fast-paced environments. Outside of work, he’s a passionate Arsenal fan, competitive pool player, and avid traveler.

When sending in documents for bookkeeping ensure they are all for the correct time period and neatly presented, as it speeds the process up as well as making the job nicer to complete
Chloe started at Blue Rocket as an Administrative Assistant and has now launched into accounting as part of the Mars team. She’s getting to grips with QuickBooks and Xero while honing her top skill—listening!
Outside of work, she loves going out with friends, reading, and spending time with her beloved cats. One of her favourite parts of working at Blue Rocket? The fun and games at Christmas!
