Teddy Bear Ball 2024: A Night to Remember

The 2024Teddy Bear Ball was a dazzling celebration of community, compassion, and generosity. Hosted by Blue Rocket Accounting and proudly sponsored by Mai Group, the event took place at the Delta Bexleyheath Hotel, formerly the Marriott. Over 180 guests gathered to support Demelza Hospice Care for Children, raising an astounding £12,030 to make a real difference for families facing unimaginable challenges.

Supporting Demelza Hospice Care for Children

Demelza Hospice Care provides essential support to children with serious and life-limiting conditions across Kent, South East London, and East Sussex. Their services bring comfort and care to families during incredibly difficult times.

A single day of care at Demelza’s Kent Hospice costs £6,921, and with over 80% of their funding coming from community donations, events like the Teddy Bear Ball are crucial. Every penny raised ensures these vital services remain free for the families who need them most.

A Night Full of Magic and Generosity

The evening was packed with unforgettable moments. Guests arrived to a sparkling welcome and posed for fun memories at the 360 camera station. A delicious three-course dinner followed, setting the stage for the heartfelt evening ahead.

Demelza’s inspiring speech touched everyone, reminding the audience of the powerful impact of their support. Then, the live auction began, sparking excitement and friendly bidding wars over prizes like a signed Mike Tyson glove. The rafflebrought its own share of joy, with delighted winners carrying home giant cuddly toys.

The dance floor came alive as the DJ played crowd-pleasing tunes, and the engaging compère ensured the energy stayed high. It was an evening where fun and generosity went hand in hand.
