Some instant advice...
Keep your financial information up to date so that you can rely on it to make informed management decisions. Also, when preparing forecasts, always work on 13 months not 12, as it gets you thinking about the next year.
I often see business owners using their company bank account as their own, rather than taking a salary or dividend and living from that. The company is a separate entity and should be treated as such, so it can come as a surprise when they have to pay the money back and/or pay tax on the loan.
If you can’t quickly get to grips with the software you’re using, it’s better and more time efficient to task someone else with your bookkeeping, or look for alternative software that you find easier to use.
